The winery is located in the municipality of Apetlon in the Burgenland wine-growing region of Neusiedlersee (Austria). It is managed by Manfred Weiss. The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vineyards in the vineyards Darscho, Rohrung, Schandelsgrund, Siebenmath (vernacularly "Simod") and Tiglas. They are 80% planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Chardonnay, Bouvier, Sauvignon Blanc and Neuburger, and 20% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and Cabernet Sauvignon. A high ripeness of the grapes is favoured by the numerous small and sun-reflecting lakes (water bodies) around the vineyards. The wines are vinified in a way that is typical of the variety and the region. The winery specialises in the production of sweet high-predicate wines such as Auslese, Beerenauslese, Trockenbeerenauslese and Eiswein, which account for around 75% of production. For the Auslese, mainly the varieties Bouvier, Chardonnay and Neuburger are used, for the ice wines Grüner Veltliner. The barrique-aged red wine cuvée "Simod" is blended from Cabernet Sauvignon and Zweigelt. Around 25,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
