Vegetation period

Designation in viticulture for the period from the last frost (late frost) in spring to the first frost (early frost) in autumn. During this phase, active plant growth takes place. The entirety of the annually recurring growth phases including winter dormancy (dormancy) is the vegetation cycle; see there.
