Treveris

Designation for the Mosel wine glass with a polished bowl, which reflects the light and gives the wine more shine. The name is derived from the Roman settlement Augusta Treverorum (or Treveris for short) on the Moselle, from which today's Trier has emerged. See also under wine glasses and wine vessels.
