Designation (brand name) for a non-alcoholic soft drink produced in Switzerland and the Netherlands. The name Rivella is derived from the Ticino place name Riva San Vitale and the Italian word rivelazione (revelation). The drink is made from water, milk serum (35%), whey, sugar, carbonic acid, acidulants, caramelised sugar and natural flavours. Rivella is considered the national drink of Switzerland.
