Reitsteig

single vineyard in the municipality of Castell (Steigerwald area) in the German wine-growing region of . The south-facing vineyard at an altitude of 320 to 350 metres above sea level with a slope of 15 to 35% covers only 1.3 hectares of vineyards. It is located in the lower middle of the Casteller slope. The grey-blue soil consists of gypsum keuper, lime marl and claystone with alabaster intercalations. Pinot Noir is cultivated here. The vineyard is the sole property of the wine estate.
