single vineyard in the municipality of Castell (Steigerwald area) in the German wine-growing region of Franconia. The south-facing vineyard at an altitude of 320 to 350 metres above sea level with a slope of 15 to 35% covers only 1.3 hectares of vineyards. It is located in the lower middle of the Casteller Schlossberg slope. The grey-blue soil consists of gypsum keuper, lime marl and claystone with alabaster intercalations. Pinot Noir is cultivated here. The vineyard is the sole property of the Fürstlich Castell'sches Domänenamt wine estate.
