Reh Kendermann GmbH Weinkellerei", based in Bingen am Rhein(Rhineland-Palatinate), was formed in 1997 from the merger of the Carl Reh (Leiwen) and Hermann Kendermann (Bingen) wineries, which were founded in 1920. The management, administration, sales, winery, bottling and wine storage facilities are located in Bingen. Other sites are located in Böchingen, Leiwen and Gau-Bickelheim.
The parent company was founded in 1920 by Carl Reh (1898-1962) as a "trading company for grapes, must and wine" in Leiwen, where the "Kellerei Carl Reh GmbH & Co. KG" was established there in 1927. Further wineries were rented and vineyards on the Moselle were purchased. From 1949, son Günther Reh shared the management with his father and took over sole management in 1962. He was succeeded in 1987 by Carl Reh Junior, the founder's grandson. In 1956, a fully automatic bottling plant was put into operation in Leiwen with a bottling capacity of 10,000 bottles per hour.
