pomaceous

Positive description for the fiery smell and taste of a marc spirit (Trebernbrand). In the context of a wine address, however, this slightly burnt (alcohol-heavy) impression is to be understood rather negatively and is called pomace flavour (rape flavour) or mash flavour.
