The winery is located in the municipality of Kaltern (Kaltern village centre location) in the Italian wine-growing region of South Tyrol (Trentino-South Tyrol region). The traditional winery was founded in 1731 and has been in family ownership for 14 generations. Today it is managed by Peter and Stephan Sölva, with Christian Bellutti as cellar master. The vineyards cover an area of 12 hectares, which are planted with the red wine varieties Vernatsch, Lagrein, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, as well as the white wine varieties Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. At the winery it has always been an important goal to keep the origin and character of the soils and the family's signature in the vinification process.
