The winery is located in the municipality of Apetlon in the middle of the "Neusiedlersee-Seewinkel" National Park in the wine-growing region of Neusiedlersee in Burgenland (Austria). It is managed by Johann Münzenrieder, son Johannes is responsible for the cellar. The vineyards cover 22 hectares of vines in the Fuchsloch, Illmitzer Weg and Neubruch vineyards. They are 60% planted with the white wine varieties Chardonnay, Welschriesling, Grüner Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc, Traminer, Muskateller and Sämling 88, and 40% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, Blaufränkisch, Merlot and Pinot Noir. Natural viticulture with rigorous yield restriction is consistently practised. About 10% of the production are sweet wines, specialities are Beerenauslesen, Trockenbeerenauslesen and Eisweine. Dry premium wines are the barrique-aged "Zweigelt Illmitzerweg", the "Cuvée Neubruch" (Cabernet Sauvignon, Zweigelt) and the cuvée "Mavie" (CS, Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch) vinified for the first time in 2002. Around 250,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.
