The winery is located in the municipality of Castagnito (province of Cuneo) in the Italian wine-growing region of Piedmont. It was founded in 1883 and the family has been producing wines there since 1900. Loris Massucco is the fourth generation to run the winery; Roberto Massucco is the oenologist in charge. The vineyards cover 20 hectares and are planted with the white wine varieties Favorita, Arneis and Moscato Bianco, as well as with the red wine varieties Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo. Only ripe and healthy grapes are processed through selective manual harvesting.

Mainly grapes from own cultivation are processed. Various DOC wines Langhe and Roero as well as DOCG wines are produced. The premium wines are "Il Sole dei Tempi" (100% Arneis), as well as the two "La Luna dei Tempi" (100% Barbera) and "Terramore" (90% Nebbiolo, 10% Corvina Veronese/purchased), which are aged for 10 months in Slavonian oak barrels. Every year, 180,000 bottles of wine are produced.

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
