Producer description of "La Querce sas"

The winery (in English "The Oak") is located in the municipality of Impruneta, 12 kilometres from Florence (province of Florence) in the Italian region of . The villa with the cellar dates back to the 15th century. The property was bought by Gino Marchi in 1960. At that time all the vineyards were renewed and the bottling of the wines began. The present owner is Massimo Marchi, the manager is Marco Ferretti, the oenologist is Valentino Ciarlo. The vineyards cover eight hectares. They are planted with the red wine varieties Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Colorino and Merlot. The selective harvest is carried out in two or three passes with the aim of ripe and healthy grapes for the selection of different wine qualities.
