Herrnwingert

single vineyard in the municipality of Schönberg in the German wine-growing region of Hessische Bergstrasse. The south-facing vineyards at 190 to 230 metres above sea level with a slope of up to 15% cover 8.5 hectares of vineyards. The soils consist of sandy loam with partly pure sand and granite in the subsoil. The varieties cultivated here are mainly Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Müller-Thurgau. The site is solely owned by the Hessische Staatsweingüter (Domaine Bergstraße). There are other single vineyards called Herrnwingert in the municipalities of Hemsbach, Sulzbach and Weinheim (Baden).
