The "Schilcher Winery Friedrich" is located in the municipality of Langegg-St. Stefan in the Austrian wine-growing region of West Styria. The traditional business has been family-owned since 1748. It is situated at an elevation of 580 meters and is run by Christian and his wife Isabella Friedrich. The owner attended the School of Viticulture Silberberg and subsequently completed training as a wine and cellar master. The vineyards cover three hectares of vine area in the plots Langegg, Kirchberg, and Pirkhofberg. They are 100% planted with the indigenous grape variety Blauer Wildbacher. The focus has been on the cultivation of Schilcher. The flagship of the house is "Schilcher Edition"; other brands include "JJ" (respective vintage), "Klassik", "Liebelei", as well as a pressed rosé. Schilcher sparkling wine, Frizzante, grape juice, noble brandies, vinegar, beer, and grape jelly are also produced. The winery is a member of the Schilcher Protection Association White Horse.
