The "Bodegas Corrál" winery is located in Navarrete, ten kilometres from Logroño in the Spanish Rioja sub-region of Rioja Alta. It was founded in 1898 by Saturnino Daroca. His daughter married a Martin Corrál, who added his name to the property. In 1974, a new winery was opened in Navarrete. The vineyards cover 40 hectares and are planted with the standard Rioja varieties Tempranillo, Garnacha Tinta, Mazuelo, Graciano and Viura. There are 5,000 barrique barrels available for ageing. The Riojas are marketed under the single-vineyard name "Don Jácobo" (in red, rosé and white) or as "Altos de Corral" (100% Tempranillo).

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
