Château Marquis de Calon

The second wine of Château Calon-Ségur; see there.

The winery is located in the commune of Saint-Estèphe or the area of the same name in the Médoc (Bordeaux). In the 12th century, it was given to the bishop of Portiers, Monseigneur de Calon, as a gift. This was once the centre of the Roman settlement of Calones, which later became Saint-Estèphe.
