The winery is located in the municipality of Kirchscheidungen in the German wine-growing region of Saale-Unstrut. The farm can look back on 300 years of history. The business has been run by Klaus Böhme since 1990; the wines have been vinified in-house since the 1994 vintage.
The vineyards cover 18 hectares of vines in the Veitsgrube (Burgscheidungen) and Rappental (Dorndorf) sites. They are planted with the white wine varieties Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Kerner, Gutedel, Bacchus and Traminer, as well as the red wine varieties Blauer Portugieser, Dornfelder and Frühburgunder. We practise environmentally friendly, natural viticulture with cover crop between the rows of vines.

For me, Lexicon from wein.plus is the most comprehensive and best source of information about wine currently available.
