Producer description of "Coop. Santa Marta Virgen"
The cooperative winery is located in the municipality of Santa Marta de los Barros (Badajoz province) in the DO Ribera del Guadiana in the Spanish region of Extremadura. It was founded in 1963 by a group of wine growers. The vineyards cover 3,800 hectares of vineyards in the Tierra de Barros sub-area. The red wine variety Tempranillo, as well as the white wine varieties Cayetana Blanca, Macabeo, Montúa, Pardina are cultivated and processed. The wines are marketed under the "Blasón del Turro" label.
