The winery is located in the municipality of Fuenmayor in the heart of the Spanish Rioja sub-region Rioja Alta. It was only founded in 1998. The vineyards cover 40 hectares of vines. Riojas in rosé and red are produced almost exclusively from 100% Tempranillo with the brand names Capitoso, Club Lealtanza and Lealtanza. There are 7,600 American and French oak barrels available for ageing. About 30% of the production is exported.
