Bergweiler-Prüm

The winery is located in the municipality of Bernkastel-Kues (Bernkastel area) in the German wine-growing region of Mosel. The Bergweiler family was first mentioned in the 15th century. In 1911, the winery property of Mathias Prüm (1835-1890) was divided among his children. One of the heirs was Maria Katharina Prüm (1884-1954), later the second wife of the winery owner Zacharias Bergweiler (1861-1934). The estate was inherited by Dr Peter Pauly in 1959.
