The winery is located in the municipality of Ratsch an der Weinstraße in the Austrian wine-growing region of Südsteiermark. The owner's philosophy is aptly outlined on his website as follows: "We drink as much as we can, we sell the rest. That's what the Irish say about their whiskey. Ewald Zweytick sees it similarly. He makes the wine he likes. And he sells the rest. It can sometimes be that simple." The vineyards cover 11 hectares of vines in the Pfarrweingarten, Stermetzberg and Sulz vineyards. They are planted with the white wine varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller (Muscat Blanc), Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc), Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris), Welschriesling and Morillon(Chardonnay). Depending on the type of wine, the wines are matured in steel tanks, in large wooden bar rels or in barriques. The Sauvignon Blanc "Heaven's Door" is vinified by means of intracellular fermentation (carbonic maceration) and aged for up to 24 months in barrique. Other premium wines are "Don't Cry" (Sauvignon Blanc), "November Rain" (Morillon) and "Tosca" (Pinot Gris), all of which are aged in barriques. In years with suitable weather conditions, sweet wines such as Trockenbeerenauslesen are also produced.
