The winery is located in the municipality of Theiß in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Kremstal. Alois Zimmermann jr. is the cellar master responsible for the development of the wines. The vineyards cover 11.5 hectares of vineyards in the Gebling, Gernlüssen, Kapuzinerberg, Krax'n, Rosshimmel and Sandgrube vineyards. They are planted exclusively with the two white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. Natural viticulture is practised, for example with cover crop and the use of organic fertiliser, with the aim of achieving ecological balance. Important quality criteria in the vineyard are intensive foliage care, thinning out to reduce yields and strict selection of the grapes. The wines are fermented at controlled temperatures in steel tanks and are vinified according to variety and vineyard. The premium wines include various Kremstal DAC and Kremstal DAC Reserve wines. The winery is a member of the "losgelös(s)t" winegrowers' association.
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
