The winery is located in the municipality of Iphofen (Steigerwald area) in the German wine-growing region of Franconia. The tithe cellar was temporarily the seat of the Iphofen tithe court, i.e. the fiscal jurisdiction at that time. A hotel is attached. The owner is Heinrich Seufert, the cellar master is Josef Schneider. The vineyards cover 25 vineyards in the Julius-Echter-Berg, Kalb and Kronsberg (Iphofen) vineyards. They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Scheurebe, as well as the red wine varieties Frühburgunder, Spätburgunder, Cabernet Sauvignon, Dornfelder, Merlot and St. Laurent. The grapes destined for the premium wines of the "SZ" line are thinned out three times.
