The winery is located in the municipality of Bad Dürkheim-Ungstein (Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. It was founded in 1791 and is now run by Geisenheim graduate Michael Wolf and Marta Wolf. The family is supported by a young team of well-trained winemakers and oenologists with freedom to further develop the quality philosophy and high-quality independent wines. A wine tavern and the wine restaurant "Honigsäckel" are attached, where culinary wine tastings are also organised. The vineyards cover 17 hectares of vineyards in the single vineyard sites Bettelhaus, Herrenberg, Nussriegel, Osterberg and Weilberg (Ungstein), Nonnengarten (Bad Dürkheim), and Saumagen (Kallstadt). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling (6 ha), Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Silvaner, Scheurebe, Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer, as well as with the red wine varieties Dornfelder, Pinot Noir, Blauer Portugieser, St. Laurent, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
