Single location in the municipality of Boppard in the German Mittelrhein
wine growing region. Already in the 16th century there was a documentary mention "in der weingruben". It is part of the Bopparder Hamm
vineyard, which is also a district of Boppard of the same name. The vineyard begins in the mountain incision through which the Petersbach stream flows and extends at an altitude of 160 metres above sea level above the three vineyards Mandelstein
. The soils consist of different types of slate, above the Mandelstein, for example, this is a diatomite slate. The western section, which is considered better, with a slope gradient of up to 50%, is oriented to the southwest. The rest with a slope inclination of 45% is oriented southwest to south. In this location mainly Riesling is cultivated. The Heilig Grab
vineyard, for example, has a share.
