Wine dispenser

Automatic dispenser or self-service machine for wine, which is mainly used in gastronomy but also in railway stations or supermarkets. It is particularly advantageous for valuable wines that are not consumed within shorter periods of time and therefore are not served by the traditional method of serving by the glass from bottles. For wines with different drinking temperatures (red wine and white wine) there are devices with different climate zones. The customer can see the bottle with the label, the information on the back label is shown separately on a display card. A tube is inserted into the bottle and when a button is pressed, a certain amount of wine is poured out by the pressure of inert gas (e.g. nitrogen) to prevent oxidative changes. The wine is dispensed in fixed or variable quantities, depending on the dispenser, against payment and allows the customer to taste it. The video (click to view) shows how a By The Glass wine dispenser works. See also under Wine enjoyment.
