Wine Critics

wine critics (GB)
vin critiqueur (F)
critico di vino (I)
wijn kritiek (N)
crítico de vino (ES)

Professional tasters who regularly carry out wine evaluations in the form of regulated tastings and publish the results in books, journals and wine guides. Mostly they are also active as authors on the topics of food and drink or lifestyle (see wine to food). The best known of the guild exert a significant influence on buying behaviour.

A well rated wine with at least 90 out of 100 points by the US critic Robert M. Parker achieves significantly better prices. The ratings of star critics even influence wine styles and initiate certain trends in winemaking. Well-known wine critics, most of whom are also active as wine authors:

Bekannte Weinkritiker: É. Peynaud, R. Parker, J. Robinson, M. Broadbent, H. Johnson

Bekannte Weinkritiker: G. Vaynerchuk, W. Kutscher, D. Meiburg, J. Platter, M. Hofschuster
