William the Empress

The winery "Eminger's Weine" is located in the municipality of Niedersulz in the east of the Lower Austrian wine growing region Weinviertel. The family has been resident here for generations, today the property is managed by Ing. Wilhelm Eminger. In addition to viticulture, fruit growing (apples) is also practised. The vineyards comprise 12 hectares of vineyards in the areas of Baumleiten, Breite, Gossendorf and Steinbergen. Two thirds of them are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Gelber Muskateller, Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Rivaner, and one third with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blauburger and Cabernet Sauvignon. In the vineyard, the environmentally friendly guidelines of integrated production (IP) are consistently followed, with, for example, greening and protection of beneficial organisms. The newly built winery allows for a particularly gentle processing of the grapes. The premium wines include Grüner Veltliner Weinviertel, Grüner Veltliner Baumleiten Exklusiv, Sauvignon Blanc Baumleiten Exklusiv, Zweigelt Klassik and Zweigelt Barrique. Distillates (grape marc and fruit spirits) and bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced.
