Wieden

A vineyard or site in the municipality of Krems in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Kremstal. It was mentioned in documents as early as 1112 as "in der Widen". The vineyard lies in the middle of the town of Krems and is enclosed by a stone wall. The flat south-facing vineyards consist of weathered sand and Danube alluvial soils. Here, mainly Grüner Veltliner is cultivated. The vineyard is solely owned by the Salomon Undhof winery.
