Producer description of "Weinbau Wenzl"

The winery is located in the municipality of Dippersdorf-Ziersdorf in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of . It is run by Heribert Wenzl, the third generation of the family to do so. The philosophy or motto of the winery is: "Kost" - experience cash! The vineyards cover seven hectares with exclusively white wine varieties. 80% of them are planted with the leading variety Grüner Veltliner, the rest with Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Müller-Thurgau. Natural viticulture is consistently practised according to the guidelines of (Controlled Integrated Production). The ripe and healthy grapes, harvested by selective hand-picking, are gently pressed. The must is fermented and matured in stainless steel tanks or wooden barrels, depending on the variety. The wine is then bottled in February. The house speciality is Grüner Veltliner, which is produced in different varieties such as Selection Summer, Classic and . The winery is a member of the Weinviertel Winegrowers' Association.
