The winery is located in the municipality of Fels in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Wagram. It is run by Franz and Gertrude Grill and their daughter Gudrun Grill-Gnauer. The vineyards cover eight hectares of vines in the Brunnthal, Große Scheibe, Dorner, Fumberg, Hammergraben and Wora vineyards. They are 70% planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Roter Veltliner, Chardonnay, Traminer and Pinot Blanc, and 30% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Yields are deliberately kept low through appropriate pruning and foliage work. The premium wines include, for example, Grüner Veltliner Runa, Grüner Veltliner Scheiben, Roter Veltliner Fumberg, Riesling Brunnthal and the barrique-aged red wine cuvée "Imiga". Grape juices, noble brandies and bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced. The winery is a member of the Winery Association Wagram.
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
