The winery is located in the municipality of Dobl-Graz in the district of Unterberg in the Austrian wine-growing region of Western Styria. The origin of the family business lies in the purchase of an agricultural business in 1958 by the Florian family. The winery is managed by Joachim Florian. A Buschenschank is connected. Since the year 1960 a vine nursery is operated, where all common white and red wine vines are cultivated. Viniculture began in 1970 by planting a 0.5 hectare vineyard.

Today, the vineyards cover 18 hectares of vineyards in seven municipalities or four districts of Western Styria. These include the vineyards Kehlberg (Graz), Reiterer Hube, Schullerstephl and Steinreib. They are planted with the white wine varieties Morillon, Muskateller, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Rivaner(Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe, Sauvignon Blanc and Welschriesling, as well as the red wine varieties Blauer Wildbacher and Zweigelt. Among the premium wines are Sauvignon Blanc DAVID, Pinot Gris GRAZiosa, the Zweigelt ORAZIO, which is matured in barrique, and BlauWild, a red wine made from the Schilcherrebe Blauer Wildbacher. Also Schilcher sparklingwine, Schilcherfrizzante(sparkling wine), noble brandies(Geläger, marc, grape, wine, plum), grape juice, apple juice and seed oil are produced. The winery is a member of the associations Weißes Pferd und Wein Steiermark.
