The winery is located in the municipality of Escherndorf (Maindreieck area) in the German wine-growing region of Franconia. It has been in the family for many generations. In 2001, Paul acid handed over the management to his son Albrecht. In 1977, the newly built estate house directly below the Escherndorfer Lump vineyard was occupied. The vineyards cover 11 hectares of vineyards in the single vineyards Berg, Fürstenberg and Lump (Escherndorf), as well as Sonnenleite (Dettelbach). They are planted with the white wine varieties Silvaner, Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, Bacchus, Scheurebe, Rieslaner and Kerner, as well as with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Black Riesling, Portugieser and Domina. The vineyards are cultivated and vinified according to the guidelines of natural viticulture. Special emphasis is placed on low yields through consistent pruning, selective harvesting and healthy grape material. The red wines are traditionally matured in large wooden barrels. Noble distillates (marc, fruit) are also marketed, as well as sparkling wines (Secco) and bottle-fermented sparkling wines. The winery is a member of the two winegrowers' associations Fränkische Gewächse and Franken & Wein.
