A vineyard or site in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Kamptal, which extends over the two municipalities of Zöbing (cadastral municipality of Langenlois) and Straß im Straßertale. The continuation of the Wechselberg forms the Stangl vineyard. The upper part of the vineyards, which face south (in the form of a basin in the Strasser part), southwest and partly north, consists of weathered slate soils with loess and clay layers. The lower part consists of strongly calcareous loess and brown soils. Due to the altitude of the Wechselberg, a special microclimate prevails here. A gentle breeze cools the hot summer air at night, which has a very positive effect on the aroma formation in the grapes. The white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner and Riesling are cultivated here, as well as Frühroter Veltliner and Pinot Blanc. The wineries Allram, Arndorfer, Cobaneshof Schneider, Eichinger Birgit, Grillmaier, Retzl Erwin, Topf Johann, Weixelbaum Heinz and Zottlöderer have shares in the vineyard.
