The "Wein- und Sektgut Weber" is located in the municipality of Ettenheim (Breisgau area) in the German wine-growing region of Baden. A restaurant is attached. In 1950, Kosmas and Frieda Weber planted 1.5 hectares with various walnut trees. Today, the farm is run by Margot, Werner and Michael Weber. Wine tastings, vineyard walks, corporate and private events are organised.
The vineyards cover 20 hectares of vines in the single vineyard Ettenheimer Kaiserberg on deep, loamy loess soils. They are planted with the white wine varieties Pinot Gris as the main variety, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Bl anc, Scheurebe, Chardonnay, Müller-Thurgau, Riesling and Gewürztraminer, as well as Pinot Noir. Natural viticulture is practised. Quality criteria are reduced yields, selective harvesting and gentle processing in the cellar.
As honorary chairman of the Domäne Wachau, it is the easiest and quickest way for me to access the wein.plus encyclopaedia when I have questions. The certainty of receiving well-founded and up-to-date information here makes it an indispensable guide.
