Waltschek

The "Gut Römerstein" is located in the municipality of Illmitz in the Burgenland wine-growing region of Neusiedlersee (Austria). It is managed by Ernst Waltschek jr. The vineyards comprise seven hectares of vines. They are planted 70% with the red varieties Zweigelt, Blauburgunder, St. Laurent, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, and 30% with the white varieties Chardonnay, Welschriesling and Weißburgunder. The premium wines include, for example, Welschriesling Remanenz, St. Laurent Reserve Heideäcker, Merlot Reserve Ochsenbrunn and Blauer Zweigelt Classic Römerstein.
