The winery is located in the community of Siefersheim (Bingen area) in the German wine growing region of Rheinhessen. Since 1992, it has been managed in the eighth generation of the family by Daniel Wagner, who had previously gained practical experience in Tuscany, Bordeaux and California (Carneros). The vineyards cover a total of about 18 hectares of vineyards in the individual locations Heerkretz, Golden Horn and Höllberg (Siefersheim). Half of them are planted with Riesling, white Burgundy varieties (25%), Silvaner, Scheurebe, Sauvignon Blanc and various red wine varieties. Since 2005 the vineyards have been managed ecologically, an official certification was obtained in 2008. The philosophy of the house is based on the assumption that excellent wines are produced in the vineyard. The cornerstones of the house's own quality philosophy are meticulous vineyard work, consistent yield limitation and selective manual harvesting. The winery has been a member of the VDP (Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter) and Message in a Bottle since 2004.
