The winery is located in the municipality of Vogtsburg-Oberrotweil (Kaiserstuhl area) in the German wine-growing region of Baden. The winery is run by Peter Wagner. The partly terraced vineyards cover 7.5 hectares of vineyards in the single vineyard sites Eichberg, Henkenberg, Kirchberg and Schlossberg. They are planted with the white wine varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Müller-Thurgau, as well as the red wine variety Pinot Noir. The vineyards are cultivated in an environmentally friendly way according to the guidelines of organic viticulture. This includes, among other things, the use of organic fertiliser such as horse manure as well as cover crop with grasses and herbs in order to promote biodiversity (species diversity). The product range is divided into local wines, estate wines and single vineyards. All wines are matured dry with long ageing on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks or in traditional large wooden barrels, depending on the type of wine. Filtration is only carried out when necessary; fining is generally dispensed with.
