Volta

There are two grape varieties with this name:

Italy

The red grape variety (also I. P. 105, Pirovano 105) is a new cross between Moscato Rosso di Malaga x Pirovano 17 (Pinot Noir Précoce = Early Burgundy x Malvasia di Sardegna = Malvasia di Lipari). The cross was made at the research centre in Rome/Italy by the Italian breeder Alberto Piròvano (1884-1973). The vine is used as a wine grape and table grape. It was a crossing partner for some Conegliano varieties. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).

Volta - Weintraube und Blatt

Portugal

The white grape variety originates from Portugal. The parentage is unknown. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
