The wine history of the Swiss Vogel family began in 1929, when Samuel Vogel founded a winery in the Lavaux area (canton of Vaud). His twin sons Charles and Jean Vogel became independent in 1993, started importing wines from Bordeaux in France and founded the company "Vogel Vins" in 1998. The range of wines was then expanded in 2003. Finally, in 2013 the company was taken over by Wein Wolf, which has been part of the German wine trading group Hawesko Holding AG since 2000.
The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
