Vlaška

The white grape variety originates from Croatia. Synonyms are Maraškina Velog Zrna, Prejica, Tanetova Loza, Vezulja, Vezuljka, Zutuja and Zutulja. Vlaška is the Croatian name for Wallachia; it was introduced from the area now belonging to Romania in the 20th century. The parentage (parentage) is unknown. The early to medium ripening vine is part of a reactivation programme. It is grown in small quantities around Split in Dalmatia. However, no stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
