The white grape variety originates from Italy. Synonyms are Arvina, Arvina de Petralia, Bentinora, Bertinora, Bianchino di Bertinoro, Bianco Tenero, Cascarella, Crepolino, Rossola, Rossola Bianca, Uva di Bertinoro, Uva Dorata and Vesparola.

Parentage

The parentage is unknown. Direct descendants through presumably natural crosses are Alba Imputotato, Alvarega, Barsaglina, Carricante, Maiolica, Minutolo, Ragusano and Vulpea.
