The red grape variety (also BRS Violeta) is a complex interspecific new variety between Traviu (IAC 32-7 X IAC 470-26) x Rúbea. It contains genes from Vitis aestivalis, Vitis cinerea, Vitis lincecumii, Vitis labrusca, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The crossing of the hybrids took place in 1999 at the EMBRAPA Institute in Brazil. The vine produces wines with a Foxton. In 2016, 636 hectares of vineyard area were designated here (statistics Kym Anderson).
For me, Lexicon from wein.plus is the most comprehensive and best source of information about wine currently available.
