Wine critic Antonio Galloni was born in Caracas (Venezuela), where his parents ran a food and wine business and later moved to Florida (USA). He studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston (Massachusetts), founded a rock band, studied at the MIT Sloan School of Business in Cambridge and began writing about wine during this time. He worked full-time in marketing.
