Vino santo

Denomination (holy wine) for a mostly sweet wine, which is of great importance in Italy and is produced in IGT and DOC areas of many regions as a separate wine type. In Tuscany, however, it is called the protected designation Vin Santo (Vin instead of Vino) (see there the history and conditions of production). In Greece this wine is called Vinsanto (without a blank in between).
