Vino añejo

Spanish name for a wine that has undergone a minimum of 24 months' ageing in oak barrels with a maximum volume of 600 litres or in bottles. This classification is independent of the regulations for Crianza and Reserva (Gran Reserva). See also under Vino noble and Vino viejo and Spain.
