Vineyard zone

According to the Swiss wine law, a common term for areas that are registered in the vineyard cadastre and where vines may be cultivated. Vineyard zone means the totality of the parcels with wine grapes intended for commercial wine production. The vineyard register includes all areas planted with vines and comprises the parcels located in the vineyard zone, as well as those located outside and not intended for commercial wine production, such as the production of table grapes, or only for personal use. These parcels are registered under the designation "vine".
