The winery is located in Capriva del Friuli (province of Gorizia) in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. It is part of the property of the Istitutio Adele Cerruti. The name derives from a noblewoman who had built an orphanage in the former residence of Countess Elvine of Zahoni. Her husband, Théodore de La Tour en Voivre, had once planted various vines here, imported from his French homeland. Today, the main crops are wine, but cereals and fruit are also grown here. The proceeds go to charity. Gianni Menotti is responsible for the viticulture. The premium wines are various DOC wines Collio Goriziano (Merlot Graf de la Tour, Friulano, Chardonnay Gräfin de La Tour, Malvasia Istriana and Ribolla Gialla).
