) in the Italian region of Veneto
It was classified in 2011. Serenissima (lat. "the exalted") was the nickname of the former Republic of Venice
. The zone includes hilly areas in the provinces of Belluno, Padua, Treviso, Verona and Vicenza. The wines are produced with any use of Chardonnay
, Pinot Bianco(Pinot Blanc
) and Pinot Nero(Pinot Noir
). There are the wine types Serenissima (12 months on the lees), Serenissima Rosé (12 months), Serenissima Millesimato
(24 months) and Serenissima Riserva (36 months).
