Name for the designation "Wiener Gemischter Satz DAC", which is protected within the European Union, for a quality wine made from various grape varieties grown in the Gemischter Satz mould. In the federal capital of Vienna, this is the typical wine served at wine taverns(Buschenschank). In order to continue the old tradition, special specifications for a Viennese Gemischter Satz were laid down by an association.

The origin-controlled quality level "Wiener Gemischter Satz DAC" was introduced with the 2013 vintage. Sustainability of the cultivation method is required. The varieties used are Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Grüner Veltliner, Muskateller, Riesling, Rotgipfler, Jubiläumsrebe, Neuburger, Gewürztraminer and Zierfandler. At the beginning of 2009, the "Wiener Gemischter Satz" was included in the "Ark of Taste" by the Slow Food association and is therefore worthy of protection and preservation.
