The white grape variety (also Pirovano 314) is a new breed between Sicily x Moscato d’Adda according to 2013 conducted DNA analyses. It turned out that the parentage indicated in the breeding list Madeleine Royale x Delizia di Vaprio was incorrect. The crossbreeding took place at the research center in Rome by the Italian breeder Alberto Piròvano (1884-1973). The variety is used as a table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
